SWEDA – Sustainable Wellbeing Entrepreneurship for Diversification in Agriculture was an Erasmus+ KA2 project focused on the development and testing of a blended and interdisciplinary EU course on social, animal and environmental well-being in rural areas to contribute to the diversification of agricultural activities sustainably.
The project – composed of 4 partners from Italy, Latvia and Germany – was born from the need of the Consortium to be able to contribute to gaps and discrepancies identified in the skills of trainees and the lack of multidisciplinary curricula on sustainable use of resources in rural areas and entrepreneurial initiatives.
The projects was focused on different target groups:
- Master and postgraduate university students. Students enrolled in the master at the university of agriculture and veterinary, young graduates (all degrees) and agronomists;
- Public and private bodies and NGOs active in rural and sustainable development;
- Agriculture and rural development stakeholders;
- Wider Local communities.

The NGO deals with the sustainable development of European development of European cultural landscapes.
Special attention is paid to social and organic farming and land use. In 2004, PETRARCA was one of the initiators of the first European conference conference on agriculture for health, held in the Netherlands.
