Dear SWEDA students,
this afternoon we will have our first workshop within module 3.
I would like to integrate two short videos from Ireland available on YouTube:
The first video shows the example of a familiy farm, the second focusses on farmers' experience with Social Farming:
In 2013-2014 twenty farmers participated in Piloting Social Farming in the Northern half of the Island of Ireland. The accepted on average three participants onto their farms, one day per week, for 30 weeks. This film recounts their experiences.
The Social Farming Across Borders Project is supported by the European Union’s INTERREG IVA programme, managed by Special EU Programmes Body. The project is led by University College Dublin, in partnership with Queen’s University Belfast and Leitrim development Company.
The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the College of Agriculture Food and Rural Enterprise in Northern Ireland and Department of Environment, Community and Local Government (ROI) are also involved in supporting the Project.
See you later!
Thomas
